Eleni Craddock was born in Houston, Texas in 1996. After graduating from high school in 2014, she attended San Jacinto College where she earned an Associates in Art degree and then transferred to University of Houston-Clear Lake. After a few years as a literature major, she changed her major to graphic design with a minor in literature. This changed allowed her to combine her love for literature and filmmaking. She began to make short films; two of which she has directed and written herself. On other projects she has experience with set design, lighting design, audio production, and art direction. Eleni's other preferred art medium is sculpture, particularly stone carving and foundry. She hopes to blend these two art mediums by creating specific sculptures as set design pieces to add in her films. She explores the duality of human nature through dreamlike atmospheres in her artwork. This can be seen in her sculptural work where she focuses on textures, such as making a hard piece of limestone look a softer, opposite texture. Through her films and writing, she explores duality by juxtaposing what is being said vesrus what is being seen. Eleni currently is expecting to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design with a Minor in Literature from University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2025. In the future, she hopes to pursue a Master of Arts degree where she can explore the artistry of storytelling through sculptural set design and filmmaking.
